The History of Viva Life Christian Book Shop:

The original name for Viva Life Christian Book Shop was The Christian Book Shop. Its doors were first opened in 1976 in the El Centro Mall located in Pharr, TX. The founder is Dale Chapman who expanded the store over the years to our current location in McAllen, Texas. Until he sold it to Mike & Robyn Masso on March 29th, 2001.


Mission:

Viva Life Christian Book Shop mission is to provide inspirational resources that will bless, encourage, and minister to the people of our community. The primary Christian resource we have to offer is ourselves.

Ultimately, Viva Life is a ministry that encourages unity in the Kingdom of God by being an interactive spiritual hub for the churches, ministries, Christians and the unchurched in our community.

Viva Life is a team made up of people who are motivated by Love for others and empowered by the Spirit of God to accomplish our purpose and calling.

Viva Life is proficient, skilled and devoted to their particular task(s).

Viva Life is a place that is spiritual, accessible, interactive and full of life and inspiration.


About The Area:

McAllen is the largest city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. It is located at the southern tip of Texas in an area known as the Rio Grande Valley and is part of the American Southwest.

McAllen has a humid subtropical climate, similar to that of the Tampa Bay Area of Florida but with less precipitation and slightly higher summer maximum temperatures.
